This Moon and Sea Pendant is carved in recycled walnut, inlaid with a central rainbow rose-cut moonstone, surrounded by eco silver stars, above a wavy and bubbley paua shell sea. *Please note this piece is online at a reduced rate as the join of the sea is not 100% perfect - but - it seems such a shame not to sell it, as someone may love it regardless of its slight imperfection.

Rainbow Moonstone
This moonstone has incredible bright blue flashes in it, much like the hot blue you see in the centre of a roaring fire. Moonstone is said to help us to open up from the crown, to remember our true nature, connecting to our intuition and insight, and, to all the different cycles we experience in life.
New Zealand Paua Shell
This shell piece has beautiful even waves in greens, turquoise, gold, orange and dark blue. What gives it real character is the naturally occurring little round indentations that look just like bubbles in the water. *Please note there is a very slight gap on the righthand side, where the shell meets the silver horizon, I have decided not to get hung up on 'perfection' and to list it regardless at a discounted price - as someone will love it as it is and it needs to find it's owner.
Eco Silver Starry skies
Sometimes these turn out a bit crazy and not uniform which has its own magic, other times they appear ordered, balanced, bright and strong, the latter of which I believe these are. As for the symbolism of silver, it is said to restore equilibrium and stability, while bringing protection by reflecting any unwanted energies away. On the reverse of the pendant are three stars in an inverted triangle. They symbolise wild, female, untameable, creative power also known as 'Shakti' in Indian tradition. This is Georgie Gilmore's makers mark.
Moon and Sea Pendant - Green Bubbles
* Please note each piece of work is unique and handmade using natural organic materials. I try to allow for small imperfections that arise, e.g. there may be tiny nicks in the shell which is part of the natural weathering process, or non-uniform woodgrain, or the making marks of a chisel, saw or sanding. I don't sand and finish to a uniform machine standand and choose intentionally to leave the ocassional mark here or there if it adds to the piece. These pendants are not mass produced but made by the raw energy of a woman's heart and hands. My own cycle informs and influences my woodwork and I try to allow for this too as that is often where the real magic happens - sometimes pieces are wild, other times calm - but they are always lovingly made. ***This piece is considerably discounted due to a natural flaw in the shell - see main body text.
